Quotations are formal sales proposals sent to the customer before the transaction is confirmed. They have an expiration date and can be converted directly into a sale.

Foreign-currency quotations

If the company has foreign currencies enabled, the quotation form shows the Document currency selector with its exchange rate (the one in effect on the quotation date or a custom one). The quotation amounts stay in the chosen currency and are not converted afterward. When you edit without changing the currency, the original currency and rate are kept. See Multi-currency.

Convert a quotation into a sale

1

Open the approved quotation

2

Click Convert to Sale

The system creates a new sale with all the quotation’s data. If the quotation was in a foreign currency, the sale keeps that currency and its rate.
3

Complete the payment details on the generated sale and save
