Automatic reconciliation (smart match)

When a journal entry is generated that affects a bank’s ledger account (for example, a supplier payment by transfer or a manual entry), FileXpress looks for the corresponding bank movement and links it automatically:
  • If it finds the movement, it links it to the entry.
  • If it does not find it, it creates a movement pending reconciliation at the bank, which is confirmed when reviewing the bank statement.
This way, most movements are reconciled without intervention and you only review the differences.
For this to work, each bank must have its ledger account assigned in the bank settings.

Other features

  • Checkbooks — record issued checks and track their status.
  • Reverse movements — void a movement recorded by mistake.
  • Link to journal entry — associate bank movements with accounting entries.
  • Recalculate balances — fix inconsistencies in account balances.
  • Account statement — generate the statement for the period for filing.
