The cash register controls the cash for each shift. You must open it before you start operating and close it at the end of the shift, which automatically generates the cash count report (corte de caja). Each shift is opened at a point of sale of the branch. A point of sale has only one open shift at a time; if the branch has several, each one can have its own shift open at the same time.

Open the cash register

1

Go to Cash Register

2

Click Open Register

3

Select the point of sale

You are only asked if the branch has more than one active point of sale. With only one, that one is used.
4

Enter the initial cash amount (cash float)

5

Confirm the opening

From this moment on, sales are linked to this cash session and are issued with the numbering of their point of sale. The screen shows the shift’s point of sale and Opened by (the user who opened it).

Record a cash movement

Cash movements outside of sales (e.g., paying for a service, withdrawing cash):
1

With the register open, click New Movement

2

Select the type: In or Out

3

Enter the amount and description

4

Save

Close the cash register

1

Go to Cash Register with the register open

2

Click Close Register

3

Review the shift summary

The system shows the shift’s sales broken down by payment method and the total expected in the register.
4

Enter the physical cash count

5

Confirm the closing

The cash count report is generated. If there is a difference between the counted cash and the expected cash, it is recorded. The user who confirms is recorded as the one who closed the shift; this can be different from the one who opened it (for example, a supervisor).
