# Users

> Managing access and permissions for the work team

The users module lets you manage who has access to the system and what they can do in it.

## Invite a user

**1. Go to System → Users → New User**

**2. Fill in the details**

* **Full name**.
* **Email** — used for login.
* **Role** — Administrator or User.
* **Status** — Enabled by default.

**3. Save**

The system sends an invitation to the email entered with instructions to get access.

## Module permissions

Each user can have restricted access to specific modules of the system. To configure:

**1. Find the user in the list**

**2. Click the module permissions icon**

**3. Turn on or off the modules the user can see and use**

**4. Save the changes**

## Document permissions

You can also control which document types the user can create or view:

**1. Find the user in the list**

**2. Click the document permissions icon**

**3. Configure the allowed document types**

Branches are grouped **by country** and each country offers only its own document types, in a matrix of branches by document: in **El Salvador** the Salvadoran DTEs (electronic tax documents: CCF, FC, etc.), in **Guatemala** FACT, FCAM, NABN, NCRE, NDEB, NEV, and RANT, and in **United States** INV, CM, and DM. Each column and each row has a checkbox to turn them all on at once.

**4. Save the changes**

You can also configure them from the home screen (**My companies**): in each company's user management, the document permissions icon opens the same matrix for the selected company.

## Other actions

* **Edit** — update the name, role, or status of an existing user.
* **Send temporary password** — generates and sends a new password to the user's email if they forgot their access.
* **Remove access** — removes the user from the system. This action does not delete the history of documents they created.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Permission changes apply on the user's next session. If the user is signed in at that moment, they will need to sign out and sign back in.
