# Aguinaldo

> Aguinaldo (year-end bonus) policies by length of service and annual calculation

## Aguinaldo policies

In **Human Resources → Aguinaldo Policies** you define the days of salary owed according to years of service (Art. 198 of El Salvador's Labor Code).

| Field | Description |
| - | - |
| **Policy Name** | Identifier. |
| **Tiers** | Ranges of years of service (from / to) and the days of salary for each one. Use **Add Tier** for each range. |
| **Proportional Base Days** | Reference days for employees with less than one year, who receive the proportional part. |

Legal tiers in El Salvador:

| Years of service | Days of salary |
| - | - |
| 1 to less than 3 | 15 |
| 3 to less than 10 | 19 |
| 10 or more | 21 |

## Generate the year's aguinaldos

**1. Go to Human Resources → Aguinaldos and select the year**

**2. Click Generate Aguinaldos**

For each active employee, the following is calculated: years of service, days according to the policy, and amount (days × daily salary).

**3. Review and adjust the Final Amount if necessary**

**4. Mark each aguinaldo as paid when you disburse it**
