# Create request

> Creates a request in `pending` status. Approval is always done in FileXpress. The days to deduct are calculated according to the counting set by the country's labor rules (`leave.vacation_day_counting`: calendar days or business days). The `days` in the response are the calendar days of the range.

**Required permission:** `hr.leave_requests`
